Posted November 27, 200519 yr comment_147449 yeah so on the passenger side of my engine block there is this round plug thing. there is white crap coming out of it. looks like its dr and it IS dry. shodul i replace that thaing? shoudl i NOT worry abotu it? what the hell is it? November 27, 200519 yr comment_147468 Are you talking about the freeze plugs? There are two. One between 5 & 6 and one between 1 & 2. about 3-4 inches or so below the head. As long as coolant isn't coming out of them from the inside you're okay. Maybe something spilled on it. But if you have any doubt about whether or not they are leaking from the inside, I'd replace them. A litttle messy, but not hard. That same kind of stuff was all around where my headgasket has been leaking antifreeze.
