This guy must be Mr. Magoo or someone, because he can't seem to be able to read the serial number of this '71 Series I 240z correctly. Someone even asks him to take a second look at the serial # and he still manages to screw it up! Anyways, for a Series I in need of a lot of work the price seems fairly reasonable (a little over $800.00 with 8 hours left at the time of this posting)

This car is more than likely eaten up underneath. The rust in the wheel wells shows a hint of what is underneath. Between that and the problem with reading the serial number, I think this car has too many questions to be worth even what has been bid. The seller can't read a vin, answer questions, or tell the difference between surface rust and cancer-I hope he gets paid in monopoly money...probably won't know the difference there either...

I took a serious look at this one because it is in the same state, but the rust and the fact that it is across the mountains from me and it's winter have prevented me from bidding. That and the serial number question.

It could be an excellent deal for the parts. It looks like the dash is uncracked, although the seller doesn't specifically mention the condition of the dash.

He says the dash is cracked in four places if you go the the questions at the bottom and click 'view all 6 questions'. The pictures must be of a cap.

Looks like it went for just over $900.00. It's definitely a Series I, since it has the rear air vents, "240Z" quarter panel emblems, Series I steering wheel (plugged holes on the spokes), etc. Ken is right, if it's a rust bucket, there's still some good parts on it, but I don't think it's worth $900.00 plus whatever the transportation costs would be. Judging from the pictures, it looks like a very wet & humid place (located on an island!)

Most everything on the wet, I mean west side of the state, has good chance of being rusty. It's like two different worlds -- much rain on the west side and hot and dry on the east side of Washington State. We do get our share of snow however, but that's what garages are for, so our Zs can hybernate. Still, I hope someone bought it to restore, there are enough early Zs that have been lost to the crusher.
