This statement is incorrect based on expert testimony. It handles more like an American car.

O.K. in stock form mabey they are not the best handeling car, though still far better than a muscle car. With Illumina's and Arizona Zcar springs like my car has it does handel great, and that is far from an expensive suspension set up too (of course good tires are required). What experts say they handel like an American car? GM's testers? The car's geometry has allowed the Z to be a competitive race car to this day. I say these expers are fools or they have an anti Zcar agenda. My personal experience racing many different American cars on the Auto Cross track, new and old, has shown me the Z car is better handeling and does not push around the track like the American car. The only American cars that handel well IMO are the Corvette, Viper and GT. The new Mustangs are not bad but they do understeer a bit too much.

Zguitar71, NOOOOO, say it isn't so. It handles FAR BETTER than muscle cars???? And muscle cars handle far better than [average] American cars???? Hmmmm?? You can argue with experts if you like, but be careful I tried that and it didn't work.

............ What experts say they handel like an American car?.............

John Morton :devious: And, serioulsy, in the total scope of things, who really give a flip what he says? I know I don't. I don't know or care what context the statement was made under. It's just a book. I know that's another thread but it has spilled over into this one.

I know, I'm just having fun right now. Let's forget it.

Bryan are you going to pop into every thread and tell people that their car handles like an American car? What an infantile thing to do.

Chris, John Morton said that the Z handled like an American car. And he was right. I don't know about your Z, but my Z pushed HORRIBLY until I dialed in a bunch of caster and neg camber and got to about 250% over the stock spring rate (which you have to MODIFY the car to do, which was Morton's point).

The Z is a GREAT PLATFORM FOR MODIFICATIONS, and therein lies its beauty. It was not designed nor built as a race car with an interior. It was designed and built as a CHEAP, lightweight, attractive, sporty car.

Are you going to pop into every thread and defend statements that should have been written differently? My answer to your question is no. I stated I was having fun, and that we could just quit. But since you're here, you still believe that the Z handles like an American car and not a European car. Fine, you go ahead. I never argued that it did or should handle like a RACE CAR OR RACED PREPPED CAR, only you are doing that. So basically, you are and have been talking about something completely different from me. Cya.
