November 28, 200519 yr comment_147668 it is a copy, I have one of the originals, and one bought from Showcar parts-it is a good quality piece, and only slightly different from the original-I will see about putting them together in the same place, and posting a picture(neither is mounted-though the BRE has been) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18185-spook/#findComment-147668 Share on other sites
November 28, 200519 yr comment_147671 Les Cannaday sells the original BRE "spook" (out of the original mold). They are very good quality and are significantly more expensive. November 28, 200519 yr comment_147672 Yeah, when I do buy my spook, I will get it from Les, even if it does cost more. Gotta support those people who still make parts for our cars, you know. November 28, 200519 yr comment_147674 The one from showcarparts came in a box with packing-no hardware, but the mounting locations are molded in-though not drilled, the picture is below, the one with the sticker and black on the back is the showcar parts one-it is also noticeable heavier than the BRE, but not by a bunch. The picture didn't take, I'll try again below(in another post). November 28, 200519 yr comment_147676 Arne thanks for supporting Les because I agree, we need to support vendors that specialize in manufactured parts for our cars.Les's part has marks in the fiberglass for the mounting points (most knock offs do not). I don't believe that they include hardware, but you can call Les regarding the specifics. November 29, 200519 yr comment_147721 I just looked at mine. My BRE spook is black on the back, but it is just like the off yellow one in your photo. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18185-spook/#findComment-147721 Share on other sites
