Thanks Mike for the welcome, though I doubt I'll ever do more than my own items, it was and is an interesting experience.

I never planned on it either. I did my 350z brakes and a friends and put some pictures up on the 350z websites and business started coming. My day job is a pilot for Delta Airlines, which is bankrupt, and after a 33% paycut last december and an impending 20% paycut any day, I decided to start a real business, business license and all. Now I'm a paying vendor on the largest corvette forum and they have been keeping me really busy. I'm just fortunate I found a skill I could do well that people actually want to have done.

I got the board from my neighbor. He is an AC contractor and a 4'x8'x1" sheet cost me $23.

BARACU, I use columbiacoatings a lot myself. I actually think they have the best high gloss clear on the market, but as an eastwood buyer's club member, I pay no shipping for stuff I buy from them, which makes them my favorite.

I have also used Columbia Coatings powders. They are very good quality.

To use the radiant heater, you just move it around the part to get all the areas. It's a good idea to use a laser thermomoeter to keep an eye on the surface temp of the part. If it gets too hot, it will burn the powder. The heater has to be pretty close to the part too. The possibilities are endless with a radiant heat source. I am building a stand for my current heater so I can move it around instead of moving the part so much.
