Posted December 12, 200519 yr comment_148867 Does anybody know where I can get new rear wheel cylinders for my 6/72 Z for less than an arm and a leg? The best I can find is 57.97 apiece from NAPA special ordered. I struck out with Checker, and Pep Boys. BAP wanted 115 for them and I see them in the MSA catalog for 78. Autozone had them listed at 20.99 but can't get them anymore. Any help would be appreciated... December 12, 200519 yr comment_148889 $27 RWC's will end up being thew WRONG ones for an early 72. Been There, Done That.... several times I was told they had the right ones, but even though the box had the correct p/n printed on it, EVERYTIME the cylinder in the box was the post 6/72 versionas xray said, $57 is a bargain. I'd bite the bullet & get it.There is only one alternative, replace the brake bridge tubes with the ones for a post 6/72 240Z so you could use the cheap RWC's. Of course only one of the two tubes is available, the other is NLA; so you'd have to custom bend that one. More trouble than it would be worth IMO Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18285-wheel-cylinders-for-early-72-where/#findComment-148889 Share on other sites

December 13, 200519 yr comment_148894 sure they would. Thats the deal. he's looking for EARLY cylinders, for a car made before 6/72. Those cylinders are the expensive, hard to find ones. The cylinders for cars made AFTER 6/72 are the cheaper (and more available) ones.BTW, nice hat in your avatar! December 15, 200519 yr comment_149082 You might also want to try Courtesy Nissan, original Nissan part for only 67 and change. If your going to pay that much might as well get the real deal.LINKhttp://www.courtesyparts.com/s30_brakes.html Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18285-wheel-cylinders-for-early-72-where/#findComment-149082 Share on other sites
