Some of you might have noticed i disapeared for a while. Reason being that me and my dad had some diffrent opinion on what the end result of our 240z would be. He wanted the all original thing going on and i wanted a mildly tuned modernized z. we came up with one solution......Im getting another z. :cross-eye well now we got two projects going on. my dads original 240z and my all out assault on a 260 i picked up. The 260 i picked up already had a 280z FI engine and 5 speed transmission. Plans for this one will be a small block chevy, so you guys wont hear much about this one. Ill be more on hybridz.org for that car. i know you guys dont like the word v8 and z in the same sentence. im still going to be around here for the stock 240z thou.

Sounds like the best of both worlds: one Z done stock, the other Z modified! My '73 is pretty much all stock, but I've always wanted to put a V8 in a Z.

When I was in high school - long, long, ago.... ;) - I met a guy who had one. Ever since I heard the sound of a V8 with glasspack mufflers in a Z car I wanted one. Someday I hope to find a Z car and do the V8 swap. Right now I just don't have the room to work on it or store it....

But, before you actually do the swap, get that L28 running good. Believe it or not, the guys at the Z shop I use were building an L28 that would deliver 600 hp! Not sure if they were able to get that much power out of it, but these guys build Z racers, so I bet they'll get close! It's all a matter of money!

yea thats what ive done. it runs great. im gona use it for a while to get the feel for it. i want to feel the diffrance. i never got the chance to drive the 240z. right when i got it i put it in a about a million peices. i just drove it yesterday. as ugly as it looks i loved it. But i think its running on 5 cyls. there was a clicking sound and while it was running i unpluged the first injector (#1) and the noise stopped. I heard its common. idk thou. ill change it and see what happens.
