mmagnus Posted December 27, 2005 Author Share #18 Posted December 27, 2005 Thanks guys. I am still working the kinks out of the car. The car is going to be mostly for shows and the occational weekend drive. It stays in my garage under cover. I have been passionate about these cars since the early 90's. Although i did a majority of the work, i did get some professional help. Here are the folks that worked on the car: - Engine block/Head: Rebello Racing (Antioch, CA) - Body and Paint: Vornhagan Paint (Brentwood, CA) - Suspension/brakes: Kevin Stearns ( Morgan Hill, CA ) - Interior: Don Adams (Fremont, CA) - Carb set up and tuning: Dandos Automotive ( Fremont, CA) The rest of the car i did in my garage at home. I have to say that i am thrilled with the outcome but probably would not do again. I am in this car over $40k and a lot of hours of work. To me it was about the car and not the investment. And yes, i am proud and it definately turns heads as i drive down the street...and in some cases, thats worth the 40 large!
Ed Posted December 27, 2005 Share #19 Posted December 27, 2005 Awesome work Mark!!! What a beauty. Stunning. Not a detail missed. Will you be taking her to the MSA show? I'd be proud to park my car next to yours! I'll see you there. Don't be like me. I finished my car in August and she has only 30 miles on her. I'm afraid to take her out . mmagnus Posted December 28, 2005 Author Share #22 Posted December 28, 2005 I will definately be at the MSA show this year. I have been saying that for the last 2 years, but never got it finished in time. I will show it locally too in No. Cal. Probably Blackhawk, Rio Vista, etc. If anyone knows any up coming shows in NO. CAL, let me know. Awesome work Mark!!! What a beauty. Stunning. Not a detail missed. Will you be taking her to the MSA show? I'd be proud to park my car next to yours! I'll see you there. Alex 240Z Posted December 28, 2005 Share #23 Posted December 28, 2005 I was wondering how much money you had in the car but was afraid to ask !!!40K is well worth the end results and the car will be one fine example of a classic Z car for many years to come !!!!!!
