pimp1911 Posted December 27, 2005 Share #1 Posted December 27, 2005 Hey everyone. My name is Dewayne this is my 1st post and I am saying hello. My cousin has a 1970 240z that I am in love with. I am a little car crazy because thoughts of getting a 240z or 280z have entered my mind. I currently have a 350z but love the classic lines of the 240z. PS Hey 2003z. I followed you here also. . pimp1911 Posted December 28, 2005 Author Share #10 Posted December 28, 2005 Got a question. Was it hard finding one. I love a car you can actually work on? Please dont hold the 350 against me. Love the car but the VQ is a money pit to get horsepower out of. Plus i think the fun factor higher on a 240z.
gogriz91 Posted December 29, 2005 Share #11 Posted December 29, 2005 There's a good sized club based in Atlanta (Ga Z Car Club) that could probably help you find a 1st gen Z. That would probably be your best place to start, and call Eddie Radatz at Radatz Motorsports in Kennesaw. He does a lot of work on first gen Z's and probably knows of a few that are for sale. How do you like driving your cousin's 240? I haven't driven a 350 yet but I can only imagine how different the two would be
pimp1911 Posted December 29, 2005 Author Share #12 Posted December 29, 2005 Its like night and day. It feels like your more connected to the car in the 240. You feel the weight difference in the cars as well. The scary part is I have a 2003 350z. From 2003-2005 there is little weight difference. The 2006 gained more weight. I was a member of the GA Z club but let my membership lapse. I plan on attending the next meet on Jan 5th. So I will inquire there.
