December 29, 200519 yr comment_150452 The quilted vinyl was used in the early cars, yes. You should find it on the transmission tunnel, the rear shock towers and the rear wheel arches. I'm not sure when they stopped using the quilted vinyl, but your '70 should definitely have it. December 29, 200519 yr comment_150455 Welcome Misty Lee,Nice to hear of the new toy. You'll get planty of info here. Arne is right. Your car originally had the diamond pattern on the tunnel. Can get replacement material from many sources if you want it and don't have it. December 29, 200519 yr comment_150456 This picture of mine is very bad, shows my car as it was when I bought it (pretty ratty), but you can clearly see the pattern on the tunnel.Interior of early '71 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18414-proud-new-mama/#findComment-150456 Share on other sites
December 29, 200519 yr comment_150462 Welcome, Misty Lee. Yes, please post some pics of Felizity! I think all the 240's had the vinyl with the quilted diamond pattern. The 260's and 280's had carpet.
