Right now, 1 day, 21 hrs. HA HA Ha

I wouldn't waste your time on this one. That car is nothing near the value of the the buy it now price. I think I saw a few holes behind the rocker panels and doors. It looks to be clearly like a car someone is trying to push as better than reality. The pictures are a giveaway. Take the stickers off and it will look like any other $1,000 starter project. :)

He also claims this is part of a special shipment of Z's that were given to the Sehawks players. I'd be curious to know who owned the car and if he can provide proof of ownership. That would be hard evidence that it was owned by a prior Seahawks player.

2.) Not sure. Sounds like something Jubal Harshaw could have said in Stranger in a Strange Land

I have been keeping abreast of this thread and the ongoing ebay questions and have to ask whether some of the questions and opinions are a little over the top - maybe from both sides.

Regardless of what we think of the position taken by the seller, he does not seem to be trying to conceal anything and seems open enough to posting any negative questions he receives. Many sellers simply do not post negative questions even when it has been pointed out to them that are blatantly misrepresenting the item.

Surely one of the key points here is that the seller can ask anything they want and that the bidder offers what they think it is worth. As in any ebay auction, it is up to the seller to ensure that they know what they are buying while the seller should honestly represent what it is that is being sold.

The matter of a dealer special versus a limited edition cannot be ignored but I think that by listing the question and the response, the seller has allowed any prospective bidder to be made aware of that issue.

I finally got a responce from the buell guy, He said and I quote "I do not have time before it end sorry"

Translation, "what? are you nuts? I don't want you to actually see the car and THEN bid on it (or not). or even worse, tell every one whats really going on"

Sorry guys, I tried.

Dave.

Man, I was away from the computer for a couple of days. Haven't plugged into this one for awhile. Didn't know what I was missing. I almost fell out of my chair, with the "Every day, have to go get some more" line!!!!! I'll have to give it to the guy for continuing to reply. Now this is entertainment

Sorry Dave:

Alternate Translation I: "I also read the posts on Classic Z Cars and am aware of the 'spy' mission you are planning and your prejudiced view. I refuse to participate.'

Alternate Translation II: "With all the vitriolic and degrading questions asked so far through the e-Bay auction, I know the car probably will not meet my reserve. I don't wish to suffer the consequences of being harassed in person by another self-appointed Z policeman nor to cooperate so that you can belittle the car afterwards."

Alternate Translation III: "I have several prior commitments that I scheduled before I put the car on e-bay. You are asking me to break one of those commitments to allow you to come view the car. The reason I put the car on e-bay was to not have to baby-sit it while people came to look at it. Sorry, but I don't have the time before the auction ends."
