Dave-

If it helps, There are these little extender things that you plug into the female blade connectors (like in the fusebox), and you can plug another female onto the tab that sticks out. If it will fit nto the conector housing, then it might make your idea even more useable and palatable. Maybe I can get a photo in the morning (they fit tight).

I agree w/ Arne on the groove thing and I'd hate to order them at $6.45 a pair and $8.00 S/H for a total of $15.00 to find out that they are the wrong ones.

Tomohawk,

Unfortunatly, the connectors are closed connectors and don't allow for the type of piggy-back connector you're speaking of, Nice try though:D

I'll check with my guy tomorrow. I'll bring a spare headlight switch so I can make sure they are exactly what I'm looking for. He does'nt charge me for shipping.

I get charged 0.25 cents per terminal and that eagle site wants about .49 cents each, plus shipping. (10 male or female terminals for 4.95 = .49 each)

I could care less which connecters you use . I trust your judgement . The head light loom is first rate . By the way , just connecting the new loom had a great effect on the amount of light for the dash and tail lights already . Sign me up . Gary

O.K. Here are the first shots of the Proto-type. I found some plugs around the garage and used them on the new parking light harness.

The photos don't have the power wire connected but I did hook some black 12 gauge wire into the relay and ran it to the battery. I Mounted the relay pack under the steering column using one of it's bolts. Ran the small harness up to the headlight switch's plugs, T'd them in and ran my power wire to the battery.

Before plugging in the new harness, I measured the voltage at the left rear side marker @ 10.4 VDC

after plugging in the new harness, I measured 11.92 VDC Thats a 1.5 (+/- .05 volts) increase!.

ALL lights (dash and parking lights) were significantly brighter with the upgrade harness installed.

Keep in mind that I DO HAVE THE "HEADLIGHT RELAY UPGRADE HARNESS" in my Z and Yes, my lights did get brighter after installing the first "headlight harnes" and now that the "parking light harness is in, The parking light are even brighter and the fuse has yet to get hot.

The car was NOT running at the time and when I did start the car the voltage at the parking lights went up even more.

This answers my prior misgivings and you can count me in.

Any discounts for quantity buys? LOL

I have 3 that I would want and I think I can say that at least two other people in the immediate area would chip in so we could save on the shipping.

For those of you who didn't order the Headlight Harness when Dave was making them, I'll state it bluntly.....YOU BLEW IT!

For those of you who balked when the price went up due to prices of the connectors....YOU BLEW IT!

For those of you who are hesitating now on this item....Purse your lips and take a big breath of air....you already know what's next.

E¢

P.S.: Dave; with all the responses you've gotten over the HHUH, is there ANY possibility that you might re-consider manufacturing them again? I need another and I know of at least one other person who would like one if not two. I understand that you are busy, but would you consider it? Especially if the price was right?

Of course, Enrique! There's always a discount for you.:classic: I'm still chuckling at the " You Blew it" ROFL

P.S.

As for the HLRUH, It'll take some serious debating on my half before I even consider it. The double relay sockets are the real hard part and I don't know what it'll take to even find them any more. And it takes about four to five hours each.

If any one orders three or more, I will give a discount on the shipping. I DO NOT HAVE A SET PRICE AS OF YET" I have to talk to Mark at G & H Electric to see how much my parts are gonna be. ( 2 plugs and 16 terminals) I also have to check on relay sockets and relays.

I'll get back to you guys tomorrow afternoon-ish with a set price and see how it flies.
