ZTEJAS Posted January 6, 2006 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2006 Hello,I am trying to determine the value of 1977 280Z ZAPP. This Is A complete/original car in great condition with 77,000 miles on it. Does anyone know if any have sold recently? If so, what condition and price. Also, any idea how many are out there?
Virto Posted January 6, 2006 Share #2 Posted January 6, 2006 It was a pretty limited number, with the yellow paint and louvers and the 5-speed. I can't find a production number on Google at the moment, but I'm sure someone has a better idea.As for value, well, it's higher than a typical 280Z, depending on condition, but like all S30s, isn't exactly a big ticket item. I wouldn't expect more than 10k if it's in really great shape and you have all the paperwork. These special editions were pretty rare, but the S30 certainly wasn't, and as such, the overall value of the entire line of cars, edition aside, is pretty low.Of course, who can put a cash value on how a car makes you feel? sblake01 Posted January 7, 2006 Share #6 Posted January 7, 2006 It was a pretty limited number, with the yellow paint and louvers and the 5-speed............... The ZZZap was a 4-speed. The five speed was and option as it was on the Black Pearl or any 77-78 280Z.

Gav240z Posted January 7, 2006 Share #8 Posted January 7, 2006 I think there great, very 70's and a rare item, I haven't seen one for sale in ages but then again I'm located in Australia and we didn't get them here. When I say that I guess I mean I haven't seen any posted on websites or ebay.
ncz Posted January 7, 2006 Share #9 Posted January 7, 2006 I think if you put some seahawk stickers on it you could get 20K!!! Sorry, I couldn't resist!!!
daddz Posted January 9, 2006 Share #10 Posted January 9, 2006 The last one I saw for sale was about a year ago in Ca. and it was in pretty rough condition. It was advertised on the collector car trader website (www.cctol.com) and I think the price was under $2500?BTW, If you have pics please post them as it would be interesting to see a ZAP car. Zrush Posted January 9, 2006 Share #11 Posted January 9, 2006 It's a shame that Datsun didn't offer motor/performance upgrades along with some of these 280Z "specialty" cars. You know like Ford did with the Boss 302 or the Hurst Olds, etc. All Datsun did was fancy up the exterior but deep down inside it's just a regular 280Z.There's a Zzzap that shows at MSA every year and it's showroom fresh and near flawless.Vicky
