Containing: Pressure plate , clutch , throwout bearing and aligning tool.I'm doing the job out of a CHILTON repair manual.:nervous: I didn't know if I should cut the flywheel or replace it? Any info would be extremely helpful.. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18514-71-clutch-repair/ Share on other sites
January 10, 200619 yr comment_151618 Only reason to replace the flywheel would be if it is bad, or if you want a lighter one. Otherwise I'd just have it resurfaced. If you want a lighter flywheel, try to find a used one from a 810/Maxima. It's about 6 pounds lighter, I've heard.http://www.automedic.org/smzcc/tech_tips.htm#Flywheel Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18514-71-clutch-repair/#findComment-151618 Share on other sites
January 10, 200619 yr comment_151622 On another note if you ever plan to put any real power to your vehicle you may want to rethink the centerforce clutch, they are about as good for as far as you can throw them.
