The written word is the most easily misunderstood method of communication. You will have noticed in the past that someone's comments, made tongue in cheek, have been taken seriously by someone and get's their nose out of joint.

On the other hand, if someone does get their knickers in a knot over a comment, re-reading the post will sometimes clear up a misconception. If not, then a FRIENDLY P.M. querying the post would avoid hi jacking a thread with unecessary insults and inuendos.

That's why I ALWAYS proof read my posts before hitting the go button. Even then, I'll read the post again to ensure I haven't missed anything. That's why I use the edit button so much.
