Great vid - that inspires me. Ive realised, however, that l-series motors often sound quite 'industrial,' - you'd have to say thats pretty close to a kenworth turbo diesel?

so launch hard, blow the u-joints, then just rebuild them...duh! or rebuild them before you launch hard...then while you are at it, get an custom alum. driveshaft...then your driveline is set!

damnit I want my BOV to flutter

Hey I have the same rims on my car as the one you have on the back drivers side! They are pretty cool!!!!!! I was thinking about getting new ones that are a bit bigger but hey your the first person i've seen with them also!! looking good!!! LOL YOu need to punch it a bit more on the turn you could get some great slidage!!LOL

a BOV is a blow off valve...

basically a turbo bypass valve which vents excess air pressure in the system when the throttle closes..

the the system under pressure, and the throttle closes, the air is forced back into the turbo and is called compressor surge, which can damage the turbo..

Here is a video of Austin's 240Z turbo and he has a Greddy Type RS blow off valve (Same as my BOV! arrg)

But if you listen closely... his flutters (pssh pssh pssh really fast) and mine doesn't!

I have concluded it's because he has a HUGE turbo, and I have a stock T3

Man I like the blue Z, it is one of the closest i've found to being what I like. Mine has the same front air dam, for except mine has all the side blinkers, gas lid, vents, and rear bumper mounts all filled in for a totally smooth look!!! I love the fact that you turbo'ed it. Mine will eventually get its v8 sbc twin turbo setup put in it when that is completed. I talked to banks turbo co. today about the set up! I can't wait!! all in all i have the cali. style mirror from motorsports but mine is like yours and I love your man!! I like the color i havn't decided yet but it was between that color or pewter. GREAT WORK ON THE CARS!!!! I"m glad the blue one doesn't have the gnose!! looks great the way it is!!

LOL.. no one ever reads the post ;)

The BLUE Z belongs to Austin (240hoke) and is an amazing amazing car...

I just had to show you guys what I mean when I say "flutter"

LOL ya i know I read it!! I just Like the blue one best!!ROFL

ohh.. it hurts!!

way to stab me in the chest why don't ya! arrggg :hurt:

haha j/k .. yeh his car is better than mine.. and well.. yeh it's amazing.. now I am very ashamed

Prox ... I dig it immensely.

I'm whipping out this video the next time that someone (a car-snob uneducated about Z's) tells me that a turbo swap is a frivolous endeavor.
