Posted January 13, 200619 yr comment_151960 I scanned these from a book and spent hours cleaning them up. 1) Put them in "paint" or some other (programming) and make a master piece. 2) Print them out and use then in the shop for.... dent locations, body modifications, see your car with tinted windows etc, etc.Do what you want with them, Have the kids color them in while deviously planning their future in the Z-car era.:cheeky: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18546-computer-drawings-for-body-mods-painting-dent-locations-etc/ Share on other sites

January 14, 200619 yr comment_152025 Hi guys,There have been some discussion and some progress on CAD drawings for the early Z series. 26th-Z has actually done some work on it (and some others as well). Check out these threads:http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7405&highlight=CADhttp://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17609&highlight=CAD[m] Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18546-computer-drawings-for-body-mods-painting-dent-locations-etc/#findComment-152025 Share on other sites
January 15, 200619 yr Author comment_152100 Figured I'd refresh this to see if any one was interested. Your more likely to remember you need something if you see it every once in a while. January 15, 200619 yr comment_152149 I have a copy of the .DWG file (attached) -- Credit: 26th-Z created this one. But, it's only the top view. I'd like to see the front and sides done as well. Even better -- a whole wireframe done in 3D.Datsun 240Z.dwg Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18546-computer-drawings-for-body-mods-painting-dent-locations-etc/#findComment-152149 Share on other sites

January 15, 200619 yr Author comment_152162 I don't have anything in my arsenal to open a "DWG" fileWhat do I use to open it??Does it have to be DWG or can it be converted to JPG OR BMP? January 16, 200619 yr comment_152235 I believe you need AutoCAD to open a .DWG file.i printed the CAD file to a pdf file so you can see what it looks like (assuming you have Acrobat reader). I'm not skilled enough in AutoCAD to figure out how to convert the DWG into a JPG or BMP. I could however, print the CAD file and scan it as a jpg if you want.AutoCAD Datsun 240Z.pdf Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18546-computer-drawings-for-body-mods-painting-dent-locations-etc/#findComment-152235 Share on other sites
