er34gtt2000jp Posted February 22, 2006 Share #25 Posted February 22, 2006 ER,I'm glad that you were able to buy the brown one! I was hoping that one of the members would buy this 240 from these people. I think you got a heck of a deal on it. Once you get the car back to Sacramento, be sure to post some pics and tell us more about the car. lonetreesteve,Thanks man! I will be sure to take some photos of it when I pick it up and after I get it back home.By the way, the red '73 is still available and is only at $100.00 with just under 5 hours left at the time of this post:You mean the Pink one? I briefly thought about it but it looked too rough for me, and I am pretty ambitious when it comes to that.
Red-Eye Posted February 22, 2006 Share #26 Posted February 22, 2006 I am thinking of making the trip on the 4th. You wouldn't happen to have and stock steelies with tires that hold air would ya?er34gtt2000jp - Yes, I have set of 14" wheels. Do you just need them to get the car loaded? Unfortunately, I'll be working corners at an SCCA race that weekend in Deming...Robert
er34gtt2000jp Posted March 10, 2006 Share #27 Posted March 10, 2006 Well to everyone who was watching this thread.DO NOT BUY THE BROWN CAR! It has been totaled and very poorly repaired and someone ripped the lower radiator support out with a chain.I was able to finagle another car that happened to be the best deal on the property so my trip was not in vain. lonetreesteve Posted March 11, 2006 Author Share #29 Posted March 11, 2006 It's good to hear your brother got a heck of a deal....From the sounds of things, there must be a lot of 240Zs in New Mexico and most of them aren't too badly rusted either. agemeansnothing Posted March 11, 2006 Share #30 Posted March 11, 2006 Yeah cars really don't rust that fast here because it's dry not humid, they just get really dirty from the dust storms.

lonetreesteve Posted March 15, 2006 Author Share #33 Posted March 15, 2006 Well, out of the 8 or 9 Zs these people started out with they have one 240Z left starting at $50.00 (a different one than what Eric originally won, then wisely switched out for the white 240), a 280Z 2+2, starting at $100.00 and and a Triumph Spitfire starting at $50.00:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Datsun-240Z-Good-project-or-parts-car-Last-one_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6783QQitemZ8046563257QQrdZ1http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Black-1976-Datsun-280Z-2-2-Very-good-project-car-parts_W0QQitemZ8045257430QQcategoryZ6783QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979-TRIUMPH-SPITFIRE-GOOD-PARTS-CAR_W0QQitemZ8046972280QQcategoryZ6783QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

lonetreesteve Posted March 15, 2006 Author Share #35 Posted March 15, 2006 Eric,Since you saw the car in person, would it make a very inexpensive parts car for someone?
er34gtt2000jp Posted March 16, 2006 Share #36 Posted March 16, 2006 Eric,Since you saw the car in person, would it make a very inexpensive parts car for someone? This car would be a good parts car but it is pretty rusty, interior is shot but fairly complete as well as the engine.I would have bought it but they did not have the title and I din;t have room for two cars. My avatar shows the car I bought from them 20 in. after we left their property.I will be posting my progress on it here as soon as I get started. Here are the photos after I cleaned it up a but and a couple of my 75 2+2.http://photobucket.com/albums/f285/er34gtt2000jp/
