gogriz91 Posted February 10, 2006 Share #7 Posted February 10, 2006 Worked for me and it looked great. That idiot in the Vette must have had an interesting look on his face when you went by him. It was neat to see you eat him up in the turns, but in the straightaway it looked like he was getting on it and accelerating away from you. What kind of mods do you have to your suspension? gogriz91 Posted February 11, 2006 Share #10 Posted February 11, 2006 It didn't seem to me like he had enough suspension to keep up with his horsepower in the turns. Novice or not, I was expecting more from a late model vette.
7240z Posted February 11, 2006 Share #11 Posted February 11, 2006 I don't think he was really familiar with the track. I noticed the corvette's approach to the turn was something like this... brake, turn in,release, accelerate and just as he hit the apex he would tap on the brake again then accelerate. Scary approach if you ask me. If he was pushing it a little more and used the same approach, he would have spun out. Dave's hand movements were very relaxed. Seemed like he knew what he was doing. Good driving. Dave which do you prefer? understeer or oversteer? Btw, who was the guy next to you? Was he an instructor? I couldn't make out why he was moving his hands. Either he was showing you the lines or he was just hanging on to the dashboard! Hehe.Ez

Hehe.Ezyeah, he was an instructor showing me the lines... after that run, he passed me to solo, then recomended me for the intermediate group(yellow group)... Thedriversedge has 4 groups green, blue, yellow, red. BTW, I was on street tires and that was my second run of the event..I was still learning the line as well. I was going to video more, but I was saving space on my camera for the second day.. where I'd be faster and on Rcompound tires... only sunday didn't come, due to an ignition failure...so I only took video of 1, 25 min run..
