Rear Hatch Weather Stripping

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive source for replacement weather stripping for the Rear Hatch and doors? I just picked up a 71 Z and had to use duct tape around the seam to keep out the exhaust fumes.

Try Victoria British I have to get some rear hatch weather stripping and they seem to be least expensive. You may have to order a catalog first or just call them.

MSA, Victoria British, StrictlyZ.com, ZTherapy all sell kits for the weatherstripping. I know you can also get each piece individually from MSA. Not sure about the others as I have only dealt with MSA for many years. Most all suppliers are selling the same weatherstripping, just depends on who has the best price. If you don't need the whole kit I would suggest MSA, as you can get one piece at a time as you need or can afford them. Their price on the whole kit is only a few dollars more than VB.

A nation wide company called Rare Spares in Australia makes hatch rubbers for the Zeds. Considering the exchange rate US vs Aus Dollar you might be able to pick them up quite cheap.

I got the complete kit from MSA. $175. They price beat Victoria British, so I got a deal.

A lot of people swear by Precision ReplacementParts kit, which sells for over $200. The MSA kit is that exact same thing. Says it right on the parts bags. Only cheaper!

Fit of the seals was excellent. And everything glued down nicely. Make sure you get the black weatherstripping adhesive. The yellow shows a mess easier.

It's very easy to do and well worth not having to smell exhaust while you enjoy your ride!
