I'm going to lower 1" from stock my suspension, are bump spaces necessary?

I was wondering if I should install bump spacers if I'm about to install 1" drop springs.

A picture of the part I am talking about it included.

I am replacing my stearing knuckles, and ball joints, so now would be the time to install them.
