Posted February 14, 200619 yr comment_155973 Hey All, Surfing around on eBay and found this auction. Very sad. Wish I had money and a larger storage facility. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-1973-1974-datsun-240z-260z_W0QQitemZ8038092304QQcategoryZ6783QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemChris Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18911-more-zs-on-ebayvery-sad/ Share on other sites

February 14, 200619 yr comment_155994 Hey, I think it's great this guy wants to help keep these Z's from going to the scrap heap. However, I am not sure they are worth the restoration. They may have some good parts left for someone to build a nice car. Only trouble is taking the time to haul all of them away. That would be a hell of a task. February 14, 200619 yr comment_156000 The reserve must be low, at less than $50 a piece(scrap value) for those with engines, he can't be asking too much. A better way to maximize his return would be to sell picking rights, then take the scrap value. Not too many people want a rusting target in their yard, but many would like parts off it.WIll Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/18911-more-zs-on-ebayvery-sad/#findComment-156000 Share on other sites
February 14, 200619 yr comment_156015 I'd almost consider bidding, but he is 3 hours away from me. Hauling 4 cars 300 miles would be tough. I'd also have nowhere close to store them. February 14, 200619 yr comment_156036 You'd buy anything BillI think he would have better chances if he just sold them individually... Some of them look fine. If they were in Australia they would have plenty of bids already! Lucky sods!
