Hello, my name is John. I just got a 1977 280z. Not sure of the engine displacement, but it is the 6 with a 5 speed. It was disassembled for painting, then partially put back together. It seems to have a fuel related issue, but I posted that problem under Help. I've been wrenching my Sea Doo's for a number of years and buily Go kart racing engines for a long time before this. Can't wait to get to work finding good part soarces, and tweeking this thing. Just wanted to say hello. Anyone else from Indiana?

I have been lurking around this site since I bought my "Fix-er-upper" 1971 240Z in the fall of 2002. It is still laying around the garage in pieces, but I hope to have it running sometime this year.:stupid:

I'm also from indy, actually Avon, just south of IRP. Walter i also have a 71 that I've had for 14 years and now I'm doing a complete overhaul. It is also in pieces but won't be running anytime soon. Do either of you guys belong to the indyz club. Their web page hasn't changed for a while, don't know if they are still around, I need to join.

Steve, Not me, I'm just getting started with this project..Picked it up in Danville, and went through Avon this PM..your getting a Speedway rebuild at the corner of Raceway rd and Rockville rd in the next 6-8 months (business knowlage) You must live somewhere around the Ronald Reagan Parkway, or shilo crossing? I went to Kingsway Christian Church growing up in the 80's and went to BD. You know the Huddlestons?

Only lived here for 4 years, came up here to drive trains out of Avon. I live just off of dan jones road. Don't know if rockville rd can handle another business.Good luck with the 280z, I'm just getting started and will never be finished you know!

I hear you Steve. The new speedway is going where the existing one is, and will be taking the property to the east with it. Ahh Dan Jones Rd. KCC is on the corner of 10th and DJ rd.. Haven't been there for years.

Is there a place here to get specs on the various years of Z ?

Original Terre Haute boy here myself, now in S.C. made the trip back (thru Naptown) like 5 times in the last 2 months,
