Well, Im new here and only 16. I was at the local car mart saturday and i saw a nice looking 71 240z for about the right price. I called the guy and test drove it today, Sunday. The car was sweet. It had a 280z engine/tranny in it. ported and polished head, mild cams, air dam, rear spoiler and nice exhaust. That car flew like no tomorrow. I loved driving it and it was pretty quick for a n/a car. Just wanted to share. I need to convince my dad to get me this car because he just bought my sister a car so he claims to not have enough money. Damn punk. :mad: Don't worry, I'll get it somehow.

Sounds like an awesome car! Just keep buggin your dad and I'm sure he'll give in. Give him the puppy eyes thing.

tell him it's an investment, it's a classic car and kept tidy they can only increase in value.

I did let him drive it, he grinned and I knew he loved it but I don't think that it did the trick. I think he is scared because he knows i drive on the fast side and if I had a car like this I might as well ride with a policeman in the passengers seat. I don't know but it looks like I'm not purchasing this car. It might already be sold, I was 1 of 2 guys interested. The other dude was in europe. So whatever. I could always get a z and convert it to one of those anyways. Thanks for the replies.

If all else fails; have you considered armed robbery? The statute of limitations is only 7 years and you will have a very nice Z to show for it. Okay I am just kidding. I like the sad pupy dog idea. Another option would be to attempt to get a 'personal loan' from the bank, it saves on the insurance and is easy to pay off.
