Apparently the owner was driving around a private country club (Mission Hills) and decided to show off. He jazzed it, it broke loose and before he could react, slammed into the pole.

I wouldn't want to even estimate repairs. This other picture makes it look worse to me. Ed might me right, cosmetic? Don't know, still kind of sad.

I bet the owner feels about an inch tall.

Don't these cars have the engine in the rear? So wouldn't most of the dammage be cosmetic?

Looks fixable. If the engine was in the front wouldn't you see fluids leaking out from a front end hit? It really looks driveable......well.............sorta.

If he was drifting in that car near those poles, that's what you get. What a tool:tapemouth

Edit: It does look like fluids from the front and I guess he wasn't drifting. Still showing off and loosing it is sad and in a country club no less.

Last week, here in Miami, reported on the news was an unhappy customer at local Ford dealership who was very unhappy with the deal on his car. He took his two day old SUV, drove it through the showroom window (smashing several cars inside), got out, dumped a can of gasoline on it and set it on fire.

The event was captured on security camera - this happened right in the middle of the day I believe.

Here's the sad part: as I'm sitting watching the video on the news, it is quite apparent that the showroom car that took the brunt of the impact as he plowed through the window was... you guessed it, a brand new Ford GT. I almost cried. Later that night, in a follow up news piece, they panned the destroyed showroom and sure enough, the charred remains of a GT were crumbled in the corner.

Tragically, the man arrested for this strange event commited suicide a couple of days later.

I take then Enzo, sell it, then buy a Ford GT and a house. I feel for them though. I recently did something similar with a new Yamaha FZ1. Man do you feel stupid after something like this. Luckily, I came out alive and bought my Z as a replacement to take my mind off of it. I always wanted one anyway and it's a lot safer than a litre bike.
