Posted June 10, 200222 yr comment_8571 my gague lights don't work! i've checked the lightbulbs themselves, they work. the fuse box has been checked thoroughly(w/ multimeter too! ). i even disconnected the leads from the control and touched them (to, in effect, bypass the switch to see if that was what was causing the prob), but to no avail. am i missing something? June 10, 200222 yr comment_8599 I dont want to sound patronising, for I never realised there was one for ages.... But have you turned the dimmer switch all the way up? Its located under the dash just below the wheel. I hope your problem is this simple Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1908-lights/#findComment-8599 Share on other sites
June 10, 200222 yr comment_8606 Z-pyro, When you say "control" and "switch" are you talking about the dimmer or the head light controls on the stalk off the steering column.Like 240Z said, I would be suspect of the dimmer, maybe turn it down a little! My dimmer is not happy turned all the way up, the lights go off, so I turn it down just a touch. If adjusting the dimmer doesn't work you may try bypassing it.Hope it helps! June 11, 200222 yr Author comment_8642 that's exactly what i did! i bypassed the dimmer control to see if that was the problem, but still no light.someone else told me to use a voltmeter and ground one side to where the gague is secured and the other side to the middle of the bulb socket. I got about 10-11V. Are the bulbs bad even if they look good? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1908-lights/#findComment-8642 Share on other sites
