Posted March 7, 200619 yr comment_158499 Wanted to introduce mysel a the "NFG". I've had my 1972 240 for over 8 years now. Bought it for $800 and it barely moved. I have replaced the engine (once), the trans(4X) the diff (2X) and all the suspension bushings, Illumina's, springs, bars,ets... cross drilled rotors, metal pads, Centerforce II clutch. I got my user name from a 6.125" rod 327 I was toying with. I have a 6 speed (almost in my hands!!) and a set of ported corvette L98 heads to go on a factory steel crank 355 ci small block chevy. Hopefully by the end of summer I will have the engine together and be ready for the winter to install the engine/trans combo. Car sits @ 2140lbs. with gas and oil, etc... Hopefully with 6 point cage, engine.trans, alum. radiator, ets... it will hover around 2400lbs. and 425 Hp/430 ft.lbs!! I am looking forward to hanging out on the site...Jason:stupid: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19143-another-new-guy/ Share on other sites

March 7, 200619 yr comment_158514 Have you been over to www.hybridz.org? That site is particularly about engine swaps in Z's. Lots of good chassis and suspension info over there too. March 8, 200619 yr Author comment_158620 Hello Mr. Mortensen...I actually found this site after liknking from HybridZ. I know Pete Paraska and used to talk to him on the phone often until I changed jobs from the hot rod shop to the boat shop. I've taken DavyZ for a ride in my 468ci alum. headed 67 Malibu convertible andI took Leonard (Fairlady327?) to his first circle track race several years back. I joined HybridZ again after about a 3-4 year lay-off and now my V8Z project is going to be pushed towards the front of my to-do list. I am not allowed to post on that site for some reason, it tells me I don't have permission and it could be for several reasons... I have no idea...I shot an e-mail to DavyZ and he couldn't help me... I will mess with it again soon, I really want to say Hi to everyone again and tell them I have missed the lively discussions and icredible tech knowledge found on that site. This site seems really cool too! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19143-another-new-guy/#findComment-158620 Share on other sites
