OK this is not a "Wanted to Buy" ad this is a fishing expedition. My Son, the "Wonder Boy" who has his Honda Prelude sitting out back with a terriffic knock in the motor. He can't work with no transport, well he could but he may as well get better than fast food money, and I may kill him if I can't get him out of my hair. There was a warning issued with the Prelude purchase, tear it up and it's yours to fix, buy something I have an interest in and I will help work on it. There is a Z car that is close enough to go get, at a reasonable price, and it seems to be close to running. It needs carbs, there are none included but the manifolds are there. Don't really want to buy the car for him to use and sure don't want to spring for Z Therapy stuff or buy a set that has benn sitting 10 years so here is where I am at. If anyone has a set of carbs, complete and ready to run please respond either thru this thread or PM and let me know what you need for them. If I know there are a set of carbs handy (all I need is money) I will try and work a deal on this carbless car and get "the boy" back on track. He has been carless better than 2 months and I think he has learned something from this. Thanks in Advance, Mike

Hiya Mike,

I have a set of round tops I just removed from my 260Z (Prior owner upgraded from the flat tops) to make room for my Webers. No issues with them. I can take some photos of them if you like. Now here's the good part. People have always been good to me on here and over at zcar.com. I would like to "pay it forward" If you wouldn't mind paying the shipping, they're all yours, for free.

They are still on the intake manifold. I can take them off or leave them on, your choice. :) Let me know.

What??? :ermm:

I can't help you with your carbs, but if your boy has a Z there will be less chance of him "stealing" yours and maybe - just maybe - he'll grow an interest in making cars better rather than breaking them. Or maybe not... in any case it'll be a bit of fun for you :knockedou

Are you sure he deserves/wants a Z, or are yo doing this for yourself? If you do this make him pay you back so that he understands the value of the car in monetary terms. I think he understands the usefulness of it but that may not be enough. If he has to pay for it he is more likely to take care of it.

Hey Lachlan,

Will seems to have us mixed up mate. Having checked the mugshots in the Gallery, I feel that it's safe to say that there's absolutely no resemblance whatsoever. For starters, .... you're a little younger than me. Not as good looking but certainly younger.:cheeky: :cheeky:

Do you think Will might be hitting the happy juice or maybe even puffing on wacky weed ??????????????LOLROFL

Rick.

:devious: :devious:
