For some time now, I have had a dim driver side headlight on my 83 280ZX non turbo coupe. Checked fuses, contacts at the headlight, replaced headlight, checked all the other spots in the harness I could find for a bad ground. Switched headlight relays around (which fixed my "no high beams problem") Looks like I need to replace my water pump, so when I pull the rad will be able to get at a final bit of harness that runs under the rad (I think). If I still can't track it down, thinking of going to these Euro Crystal Clear headlights Victoria British sells and add their heavy duty headlight harness that draws power directly from the battery as opposed to going through the light switch first. What do you guys think, will this fix my problem? Mark

just before i upgraded my headlights one of them went rather dim for a few days until it got the the stage where it just looked like it was a parker light! so it made me hurry up my installation of better lights! but i'm assuming it went dim because it just needed replacing and not any other reason as it still had the full (well as much as it gets with stock wiring) voltage to it.

my suggestion is go for xenons, you wont regret it, but it is in another price bracket...

Check this thread for a better Headlight Harness than VB.

As good as Dave's Harness is, I don't think it will work in a 280ZX.

I saw that thread but if I read it correctly, he's only doing it for 240's, mine is a 280ZX. Mark

Will do a search to see who has them in this area, possibly UAP. Did you keep your original harness or upgrade? Mark
