Posted March 25, 200618 yr comment_160839 I have read the previous threads about die cast cars but I have not seen any opinion on Yat Ming die cast cars. What is anyones opinion on the quality of these compared to Franklin Mint,Sunstar,Kyosho. I have seen a few on Ebay and there are fairly inexpensive compared to the others is that a hint to the quality ??????? March 25, 200618 yr comment_160841 Yep. Yatming (Road Signature) - when you open the doors, the window frame is attached to the body, not the door. (See picture). Sunstar, the frame is on the door, but looks like painted plastic (whereas the yatming looks like metal plated plastic). Door frame looks to thick when compared with the scale of the car. Both of the above dont have much detail in the engine bay - neither have plug leads (cant remember if sun star does, but think it doesn't). They are not too bad, but the better ones cost more. Kyosho are more detailed. Here is pics some of mine that I had handy: Red one is a Yatming/Road Signature. Black one is a SunStar 240z (Nissan didnt even make a black 240z :disappoin ) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19352-die-cast-cars/#findComment-160841 Share on other sites

March 26, 200618 yr comment_160940 Yup Craig got it pretty spot on. I once bought a Road Signature just to see the quality. Alex, this is about as close as you'll get to the John Morton 46 car........ and it's pretty crap. It's the same as Craig's rally car except with different paint/decals. Still retains the hubcaps and rally tyres.... I wouldn't bother with the Sunstar models either. Let's just say the extra money for the Kyosho models is worth it. You can get a 240ZG, Z432 or (LHD) 240Z too Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19352-die-cast-cars/#findComment-160940 Share on other sites

May 15, 200717 yr comment_209667 I just noticed that Kyosho released a new version of the 240ZG in February 2007. It's a Kanagawa Prefecture Police car. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19352-die-cast-cars/#findComment-209667 Share on other sites
