September 13, 200222 yr comment_15657 Craig,If you have an ignition, both door locks and hatch lock with key for a '73 240Z or one that would be compatible please, please let me know how much and if you would be willing to ship to Maryland. I currently can't lock the car (locks are frozen) and the original key is so bad off that I can't find a key maker that is willing to risk duplicating it.You can contact me directly at: gealicpride@yahoo.comThanks!! September 18, 200222 yr comment_15783 hmsports:I've also read that twin piston calipers should never be pulled apart but one time I found I had to split a caliper apart to pull a wheel off (long story involving a loose wheel stud). I asked the local brake specialist why I shouldn't split the caliper and they told me that they split calipers all the time, and that they have never known why some workshop manuals tell you not to. Since then I have split several set of calipers for various reasons, and reassembled them using loctite on the bolts and the correct torque setting for the size of bolt. I've never had a problem.Anybody know why you aren't meant to split calipers? Is it just haynes being paranoid abot a possible lawsuit? October 14, 200222 yr comment_17073 DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS GUY!!!!! I needed a wiper motor, he said he had one. I sent him $110.00 to cover the cost of the motor and shipping. That was the middle of July, 2002. As of this date (October 14, 2002) he has yet to respond to my last emails, nor have I received a wiper motor. I have sent him my mailing address, street address, and anything else he needed. I think I'm getting the runaround and now I'm out $110.00.Craig, You have Ripped Me Off! Guess I will have to call the county to see what they can do to help me out.:devious: THIS GUY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!! There are 2 small O rings top and bottom that were included in my rebuild kit. i have had no problems. I did this on the advice from my 30 year autoshop teacher friend that does it all the time and reuses the O rings and has had no problems. February 15, 200322 yr comment_26785 If you are still selling complete cars let me know. I am looking for a Z, preferably a 280, with good floors and rails and factory air, not necessarily running, as I have a good drivetrain.Ed PalmerAthens, GA Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1938-25-z-cars-and-shop-full-of-parts/?&page=3#findComment-26785 Share on other sites
