Posted March 26, 200619 yr comment_161054 Here are my new wheels and tires. Sport Max Racing 002 15x8 225/50/15 zero offset No rubbing on the front valance but a 60 series probably would. 1/4 inch or less from tire to shock perch but no rubbing. Thanks to matt300zxt for the wheel info. I was worried about the gunmetal centers but I think there is plenty of silver so it isnt too dark. I really like them. Plenty of dish/lip. Modern with a bit of old school. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19385-new-wheels/ Share on other sites

March 27, 200619 yr comment_161067 Those wheels look beautiful. They look very similiar to Watanabe GR-8 wheels, but better because they have a beautiful dish to them. Congrats on a beautiful looking car. -Ben Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19385-new-wheels/#findComment-161067 Share on other sites

March 27, 200619 yr comment_161075 Yea, the SportMax wheels are making a stir in the AE86 community. They are a single piece casting, I guess that's what is keeping the price down. They look good and have "old school" appeal. I had my worries that the front caps would fit over the tall datsun bearing caps. I guess Luis answered those questions in the best way possible - by proving it! March 27, 200619 yr comment_161078 Aren't the 240Z bearing caps taler than the 280Z caps? Seem to recall that Konig caps it on 280s but not 240s? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19385-new-wheels/#findComment-161078 Share on other sites
March 27, 200619 yr comment_161079 I am so stinkin jealous of your wheels. I've been eye balling those on e-bay for months, that guy has sold a bunch of them. He says he has a limited amount so by the time i have money they'll be gone:mad: He sells red centers and black( the ones i want) Damn I wish i had the money. By the way congrats-they look great!!!! March 27, 200619 yr comment_161082 And just think, you could buy 3 sets of these for one set of Work 03's or 4 sets per set of new Watanabe 15 X 8 @ 0 "R"s or 5 sets if you wanted the Wats in Mg!
