SAP "Racing Mirrors"Hi Mike:See: <a href=http://zhome.com/History/72AccBroch.htm TARGET=NEW>http://zhome.com/History/72AccBroch.htm</a>They were part of the Factory Shade Kit - and at the time they could be ordered as a set. They are no longer available from Nissan. E-Bay is your best bet.FWIW,Carl B.Carl BeckClearwater, FL USAhttp://ZHome.com Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19413-black-pearl-mirrors/#findComment-161470 Share on other sites

March 29, 200619 yr comment_161484 Here's a pic of one from the brochure. They were also available on non-BPE cars. My car has the 'shade kit'. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19413-black-pearl-mirrors/#findComment-161484 Share on other sites
March 29, 200619 yr comment_161485 Looks a lot like the mirrors on my car...but mine are only one screw...I think MSA sells them as "racing mirrors." I know they're in the catalog. Here's a pic from MSA... They might not be identical to mine...but mine vibrate badly and basically spin on thier pivots. Now that I'm thinking about it...what do the stock 280Z mirrors look like...oh well, that's a question for another thread. March 29, 200619 yr comment_161490 Thanks for the pic's guys, Well, I've only got a dozen of them. Is that enough? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19413-black-pearl-mirrors/#findComment-161490 Share on other sites
March 29, 200619 yr comment_161492 People always refer to them as BPE or ZZap mirrors, but they were much more common than that. Just like the factory alloy wheels, the were just a 260/280Z option. March 29, 200619 yr Author comment_161493 Can you post a good close-up pic of one? I've got a mess of mirrors from 260's and 280's and may have what you need.If not clear enough I will take a pic of the one on my car, be a couple of days, THANKS for the replies, are those MSA mirrors same as Nissan? The car has had 1 repaint, came with the stripes(lost in paint job) sunroof, rear louvers, BP wheels(upgraded???? to cross, I have 3 BP wheels still looking for that 4th one) and only ONE of the mirrors, dealer must have dropped one and broke it or just didn't feel like putting it on, and correct paint code. Would like to have both mirrors and the BP wheels "to feel cool".
