Posted March 29, 200619 yr comment_161479 Does anyone know the purpose of this hole on the door jamb? Perhaps to let moisture evaporate out of the dog-leg area? Perhaps it should be plugged to keep water OUT of the dog-leg area? I just can't recall whether that hole was open or plugged back when I bought the car. Comments, suggestions ... March 29, 200619 yr comment_161483 There's a rubber bumper that goes there. They get knocked off fairly easily. If you don't want to replace it with the original part, I'd at least find a plug of some sort to put in there. Dog legs rust easy enough without a big hole to let water in! March 29, 200619 yr Author comment_161496 Vague memory returns ... was that a conical shaped bumper? In any event, I'll check the catalogs for the original part - otherwise, I'll find a rubber plug to fill the holes on both sides. Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19418-72-240z-door-jamb-hole/#findComment-161496 Share on other sites
