I was going to buy a new steering wheel for my Z but the newer ones are smaller diameter and for a tall person they block the speedo and tach. So I sent my old wheel to american-stitches and they restored it to better than new shape, with a little more thickness for padding that I asked for.Stripped it and repainted it also.Turned out great!

what was the price for the redo.

In his other post of the same subject, but in the correct forum of Interior, he quoted $250 for the work.

I plan to be offering this service in the very near future. Both for 280's and also for those who may be interested in getting a 240 wheel done in leather, with or without padding.
