Never believe what the ad says !!!! I saw the car in person, the car is in excellent condition and as I stated there are different degress of restoration and some people use the word restoration pretty freely and still have not seen underneath the hood or inside !!!!! The car is a Calif. car though !!!! Never believe ads !!!!!!!

A bit banged up but looks pretty good underneath actually. Certainly not a "restoration" in my sense of the term - at that auction it should bring bids in the $8K to $10K range... anything under that and it's a bargain if the rest of the car checks out..OK

I agree with you Carl, the suspension components have mild surface rust and looks to be original if anything. Very curious to see what she will go for.

Alex if you have a chance get some pictures of the inside and engine.

Lot 309 Looks like it sold for $ 11,556.00. It also appears the same car sold at BJ in AZ last year as Lot 408 for $13,500.00 Both were HLS30-74204.

That very well could be. There are lots of guys that constantly buy/sell at the auctions. Sometimes something listed as "sold" had the deal fall though later when some defect was found on the car or title.. I dobut anyone in that arena would think they could being a car to Florida from BJ in AZ and see a price increase...

FWIW,

Carl B.

Is there any chance this will make it onto the TV show and if so, is there a way to figure out the time slot?

SPEED broadcasts LIVE from the auctions. Today it's from 8PM Est.

If it's already sold, it won't be on the broadcast for tonight, unless they somehow feel it was an extremely noteworthy sale. Not much chance of that imo.

I would tend to doubt it. SPEED TV covers the BJ Palm Beach auction, but in the past not nearly the same coverage as the Scottsdale auction - which is much bigger. I'll bet they will only cover the "big ticket" sales.

The car sold for $10,700 and it was a speculator got the car who I did meet later on in the day !!!!! He already had a for sale sign on the car for $13,500 or obo I did happen to write his phone number down if any one wants it !!!! I finally got to look under the hood and it looks like the engine has hadly ever been touched the car has approx. over 107,000 miles two small hair line cracks in the dash !!!!! Cark Beck was definetly on target with the price range !!!!! I am just sad that a true Z fan did not get the car !!!! The vin of the car was in the 74,000's like someone said but I did not write down the exact vin: If anyone wants the number of the new owner I will post if that is ok !!! The carbs look original and untouched !!! Never heard the car run !!!!! Interior was excellent !!!! $10,700 I feel would have been a good deal and if I had a more understanding wife I might of went for it !!!! Engine compartment shows much better than it is !!!!!
