Hi folks. I just spent all day at the Artesia, NM 9th annual car show. I wanted to share. I took my Z so that "America" can have a taste. Not including the "ricers" there were a total of 5 imports. An Alfa Romeo, 2 VW's a Porsche and yours truly. The level of competition was very high. I'd guess that 90% of the older (pre 1980) cars were restored. There were some beautiful cars. Trully awesome. I was in good company. And by the way I took second place in the 1970-1980 import. The white Porsche Cabriolet (sp?), which looked like it just rolled off the assembly line took first (I voted for him). It was a gem.

Yes I saw that too Arne! What was going on there?? It does look like a beautiful car though. In fact they all do (for what they are). Congratulations on your 2nd place!! It's great that Japanese cars are finally being recognised at events on the same level as others. :D

That Speedster is a beauty...cracks me up that the American muscleheads don't know what decade it came from. (Venting here) Typical one dimensional American car show mentality. US marques have 100s of examples (yet aNOTHER Camaro. Wow---a "rare" 57 BelAir--blah blah) at these shows, while Foreign marques are stuffed toghether into the "import" category. Puh-leeze.

Thanks for representing, Ed. Glad to see your ride back on the road after the vlave mishap.
