Posted April 5, 200618 yr comment_162288 I just picked up my first Z today. It is a 1970 240Z with a 280ZX Turbo engine and 5 speed transmission. Though she needs a bit of work, she's fun to drive. Posted a couple of pics for your viewing enjoyment... BTW, anyone know a good source for high torque starters? April 5, 200618 yr comment_162300 Welcome! Your car and mine came off the line relatively closely. Mine is 12746, also 10/70 build. Same color as well. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19505-new-z/#findComment-162300 Share on other sites
April 5, 200618 yr comment_162312 Welcome aboard! I just wanted to comment that we sure have a lot of series ones in the club. When I first started looking for a good 240-Z in my area (eastern Washington) In about 1991, I only found one series one for sale. I literally looked for several years before finding my car. In that time I saw two series ones. It wasn't until the internet and this club that I found a good car outside my state. April 7, 200618 yr comment_162561 My series 1 has always had WA plates. I bought it in Spokane at Monroe St. Datsun in early 70's. My car is not that far away either at 6160.
