The car is getting painted yellow with black stripes doe sure. The air dam and spoiler are getting paint black for sure. I would like your opinions on whether I should add the reverse yellow stripes on the air dam and spoiler.

I personally like your idea for the paint, and also like the reverse strip that you added to the pic. Everyone is going to have a different opinion, all that matters is that you like the way it turns out.

As Adam said, it comes down to a matter of personal taste...

... and personally I think the "reverse" idea might border on overkill.

As long as you are happy then it is all good. I prefer the black stripes with the yellow body, spoiler and air dam, one color makes it look more integrated.

Personally, I like sall the body parts to match and cary the stripe all the way but leaving the air dam and spoiler black can look good too. I'd stop the stripe or even continue the black stripe of it is different paint/shean from the spoiler and air dam (i.e. flat black on the spoiler and air dam - gloss on stripe)

The reverse seems overkill to me too.

after a couple minutes of thought, I have to agree with the majority that the reverse stripes would be a tad too much. However, for me the decision was close, I think either way you go the proposed theme will look great.

How about "Ghost Stripes" ?? Use a shade of yellow just slightly darker/lighter than your "Yellow" The effect is quite interesting..... Would have to agree with everyone else. Stripes on the airdam would be a bit much.....

The other post have it right, your personal taste is your own and what YOU want and like is what matters ... I personally like the reverse stripe as it gives you something different.

IMHO, if you're going to do stripes, paint the dam and spoiler the same color as the car and carry the stripes over them. Otherwise, lose the stripes and paint the dam and spioler black. The reverse stripe just looks bad all around.

Carry the color to all parts and make the stripes one color. BTW you are about a month ahead of me doing the exact same thing. I'm going with Viper yellow and black stripes...

I am a big fan of the racing stripes down the middle and i think the idea of the reverse stripes is great. If you want to try it out, why not order the striping in vinyl first, apply it to your freshly painted Z then decide weather you like it or not.

If you dont (who cares what other people think) then you are only out the cost of the vinyl. Check the classifides at grassrootsmotorsports.com for a supplier. And post pics for us to see!
