April 12, 200619 yr comment_163158 Hello, Bob, My car didn't have a shroud when I bought it, but I installed a radiator from an automatic ZX (I don't know which year) and used a plastic fan with it's own clutch (again, I don't know which year), and a fan shroud I happened to pick up in a bulk buy. I guess long answer short...as long as the shroud mounts line up with the radiator holes, you are good to go.[edit] is there something wrong with the timestamp? My watch reads 12:59PM...??? April 12, 200619 yr comment_163167 The fan shroud (it's a 2 piece unit) will fit a 280Z from 74.5 to 78. Vicky Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19596-fan-shroud-for-a-77/#findComment-163167 Share on other sites

April 13, 200619 yr Author comment_163355 I thought any 280Z shroud would work, but I bought one a couple years ago from another member and tried to install it on the new MSA 3 row radiator I bought last year. No go--the shroud was wider than the radiator. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19596-fan-shroud-for-a-77/#findComment-163355 Share on other sites
April 14, 200619 yr comment_163522 Here are a couple of pics of the shroud I restored for my '71. After I received the 4-row rad, I realized it would not fit. I bought another one but it did not have the bottom piece with it. I still think I need one for summer traffic. How did you make that thing look so wet? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19596-fan-shroud-for-a-77/#findComment-163525 Share on other sites
April 15, 200619 yr comment_163585 A buddy of mine is a auto painter. Whenever he is doing a clear coat, I always take a few things in for a couple of coats. He did my fuel tank, my lower engine shield and my brake booster. Makes them look like new! April 21, 200619 yr Author comment_164556 ZSaint's shroud has the same bolt hole spacing as my radiator, so we got a match. Still wondering why the 2 piece shroud I bought a few years ago wouldn't fit--the hole spacing was about 3" longer in each direction than my radiator. Could this shroud be for a 260Z?Bob Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19596-fan-shroud-for-a-77/#findComment-164556 Share on other sites
