=Enigma= Posted April 14, 2006 Share #2 Posted April 14, 2006 Try ebay. I see them on there all the time. You could also try an auto recycling yard or check the classifieds on here or hybridz.org.

montoya_fan01 Posted April 15, 2006 Share #6 Posted April 15, 2006 before you start buying a replacement tach make sure you are buying the correct one for your car. There are 2 tachs in 240Zs. 3 wire, and 4 wire. Which is yours?

Blue Meanie Posted April 17, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted April 17, 2006 Alright. Now that ya got me concerned. What is the difference in the 3-4 wire tachs? My current dead soldier has four light bulb inputs and is connected to a 4 wire harness. However, it appears the two white wires (stripped red and black) are connected to the same area on the back of the tach. Sorry for the stupidity, but this is my first Z in 20 years and I am on a severe learing curve.
