April 19, 200618 yr comment_164238 i had a problem with my SUs like that, as far as the sticking air piston.. Try loosening the nut at the bottom of the carb and letting the needle adjust itself in the sleeve, wiggle it back and for just a bit But not hard!! maybe that will also solve the suction problem.. if not try opening the idle screw slightly..hope i helped.. April 19, 200618 yr comment_164265 I would suggest either getting the "Ztherapy" SU tune up video, or getting a manual. Something with some kind of instruction on how to rebuild or take your carbs appart. Like previously mentioned your needle might be binding or it could be that your piston is sticking, either way you need to dissassemble, clean and properly rebuild.$.02 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19700-misworking-carbeurator/#findComment-164265 Share on other sites
