Gezz.....I don't want to dirve one and look like that afterwards....teehee

Like the seats, centre console dials, the strut brace, twin pipes but the rest is still ugly in my book. Yes your opinions change over time as those foul lines meld but heh...the tail lights look like a cross between those found on a Ford Focus and a Space 1999 alphalander :alien: it's just plain BUTT ugly (nice pun):disappoin

I quite like the overall shape but i agree that the headlights are pretty ugly, the tail lights are just as bad. Both sets of lights will probably date quite badly. I'm not all that fussed with the "full nappy" look of the rear end either.

The car definitely has potential, I'm sure the designers will fix up the cosmetics in time and it will look great.

I like the V6 semi-auto combination! Now I wonder how long it will be before someone retro fits the drivetrain into a classic Z?

Damn its ugley front and rear and from the side the interior is nice, to bad! Looks like a New VW bug with a chopped top. Damn , too bad. O well , the PT cruser has a convertable that really looks trick , if they only had a engine. My Z has to last for a long time .

At the risk of being kicked out of the club, I'm going to say what i really think. Other than the rather "Blah" rear end. I love this car. Everything from interior (brushed aluminum), lines and all the different set-ups available. We should all be happy about the price-point, starting around $26k. Nissan will change little things here and there in the coming years to meet the concerns of the nay-sayers. I bet some out there are saying they hate it simply not to stray from the pack.

Don't worry about being kicked out of the club. :D I'm the Administrator and I love the car. But, I disagree about the price point. $26k is Nissan's starting point. The car will never sell for that price. It's a little more money than I'd like to pay and Nissan really forgot about their past relating to price.

Back in the '70's the 240z was around $3-4k and affordable by most people. The 2003 350z is $26-$30k and out of reach by most people. I think they should have started at around $18-$20k.

This pricetag puts the car into the pricerange of a BMW, Mercedes, and other performance vehicles. This is the PRIMARY reason Nissan lost it with the 300zx. They couldn't compete.

Anyway, I'm off on a tangent. I like the 350z. I also like the fact that they got rid of the ZX name and just stuck with the Z. I just don't like the price.

I probably won't buy one because I put a lot of miles on a car. Frankly, I can buy something else to keep me satisfied for much less money. Like maybe a twin turbo 300zx?

I dunno... I see this car working its way up to the $40k price range just like the original 300zx.

All they need to do is add a twin turbo.

Well the damn thing is UGLY and just like all the other sports cars that are out there, round and overpriced! The only car thats coming down the line that looks reasonable and cool is the new Mazda RX8- if you guys get a look at this thing you will be impressed. It has already been called the nicest sports car to EVER come out of Japan. It has a suicide back door that is hidden so that you can keep the sports car lines and have roomy a back seat. I have a Z and i am highly dissapointed in the new Z, which is why i am going to geet the new Mazda whenever it comes out (projected end of 2003).

What no cup holder?? see "interior" photo for the Coke product placement.

How am I supposed to fit my marshall guitar amp and my guitar in the back with that strut brace? Looks like it would be hard even get a golf bag in there, not that I play. Hmm now where'd I put that socket wrench...

.....and those door handles are damn ugly!

Well, there is a cup-holder in the car (hold 2 cups actually), but by the time everyone got through ooohing and aahing over the thing Sunday night, it was already broken!

Cup-holders were one of the first things my wife looked for. When we had our daughter, the only reason we bought the stroller we did, was because of the cup-holders!LOL
