Posted April 22, 200618 yr comment_164599 Sorry to use the help forum, but I'm trying to get this done tomorrow. Does anyone know the correct diameter for the rubber gas lines on a 1970 240Z. I think it has 5/16th on it now, but it may also have some 3/8ths as well. I've ordered clamps twice and none seem to fit, but for right now I need the right hose diameter.Thanks.Bob Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19731-gas-line-question/ Share on other sites
April 22, 200618 yr comment_164601 The 1st picture shows the fuel hoses that I picked up from NAPA; 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch, and 5/8 inch. They didn't have the 5/8 inch in stock (not used much) but they got it from their warehouse the next day. Make sure you use fuel hoses, as heater hoses will be rotted eventually from gasoline. This was one of the reasons I did this project--the top 90 degree hose was leaking because it was heater hose the PO installed (can you say idiot?). This should cover you on the hose sizes for your tank. As far as the fuel line in the engine compartment I always get the 3/8 line. It seems to work out just fine for me. I also get plenty of extra hose due to the cheap cost of it per foot. It never hurts to have an extra couple of inches Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19731-gas-line-question/#findComment-164601 Share on other sites
