Hi.

What is the biggest size of wheels that fits in a stock 240Z?

I have eibach progressive springs and tokico iluminas gas strut.

Thank You Curtis.

Your Z is awesome. I really like it.

But if I like to go for wheels and tires wider than 7 inches, thinking on some 17x10 inches in rear and 17x9 in front. Do I have to install coilovers and spacers?:knockedou

Sorry I know that asked for a stock but in case I want to go for fatty ones.

Coilovers will give you an additional 1" more tire and rim you can tuck under the body, but you don't have to use coilovers as some owners want to have the flare look. My Z already draws too much attention so I wanted to minimize the fender modification. So coilovers would let you use 8" rims but anything wider in the rear and you would need flares. BTW I am running 17x9.5 rims on all corners with 255/40-17s and coilovers and the front fenders are stock (with the inside lip rolled).

If you do your homework, you shouldn't need spacers. I'm not running spacers.

You simply wont fit wheels that wide under the stock arches. To go to those sort of widths you'd need to be using flares.

Maybe not the 17" x 10" but, the 17" x 9" will fit in the rear with the lip rolled. If you are in doubt, visit my pic gallery.

Fair enough....learn something new everyday. :)

Rolled lip isn't quite stock though is it! ;)
