April 27, 200618 yr comment_165205 I have CCW wheels on my Z, check my gallery for a look. 7" wide rims on a stock 240Z would be the most common. April 27, 200618 yr Author comment_165217 Thank You Curtis.Your Z is awesome. I really like it.But if I like to go for wheels and tires wider than 7 inches, thinking on some 17x10 inches in rear and 17x9 in front. Do I have to install coilovers and spacers?:knockedouSorry I know that asked for a stock but in case I want to go for fatty ones. April 27, 200618 yr comment_165218 You simply wont fit wheels that wide under the stock arches. To go to those sort of widths you'd need to be using flares. April 27, 200618 yr comment_165220 I've got 17x9.5" wheels on the rear with 255x40 but I wanted to get that flared look and they would'nt fit without. My Z already draws too much attention so I wanted to minimize the fender modification. So coilovers would let you use 8" rims but anything wider in the rear and you would need flares. BTW I am running 17x9.5 rims on all corners with 255/40-17s and coilovers and the front fenders are stock (with the inside lip rolled). If you do your homework, you shouldn't need spacers. I'm not running spacers. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/19799-what-is-the-biggest-zize-of-wheels/#findComment-165250 Share on other sites

April 27, 200618 yr comment_165265 Stay with the same size in the front and back, it will handel better. 17x9 with a -12 offset will work with flares and stock suspension. Fair enough....learn something new everyday. Rolled lip isn't quite stock though is it! April 27, 200618 yr comment_165281 Sooo....if I had coil overs and flares, how wide could I theoretically go? 11"? That's pretty damn huge for such a little car!
