Hello everyone! I just recently purchased the car of my dreams, a 1974 260z. Now i'm here. Most people don't appreciate the Z car tradition, so I figured a Z car forum would. This is my second car. My first was a 1981 Accord hatch. It was a very cool car, but my new one is way cooler. so, about my car. It has a 4 speed, all stock engine, still has the cat, has an HKS Ti Hi power muffler that I put on, and an aftermarket bodykit that I am selling. The only problem with the car is the driver side fender, headlight bucket, and the front bumper is broken (fiberglass.) The thing that was coolest about the car is that I got it for 600 dollars, and drove it home. Well, let me know if you want a bodykit.

The OK Z club has a website and meets monthly in OKC and in Tulsa.

http://www.okzcc.com/

There also used to be a Datsun heavy junkyard at South May auto salvage on May avenue between I-40 and I-240 on the west side of the street. Don't know if Bob is in business any more though.

I wouldn't use the V-8 excuse as a reason not to participate in the club. The core membership of the club is 1st-2nd gen L-series owners who started it 10 years ago. I would bet there are alot of 350 owners too since it came out a few years ago. The focus was on fun when I was a member but thats been about 9 years ago.

The club was in it's infancy when I was a member so I think they're a little more active now with more members carrying the load of organizing...hopefully. They ended up hosting the National Convention in like '98 or '99 in Tulsa and average 2-3 car shows a year, a trip to Hallett and a couple of cruising events every year. If you don't mind going to Tulsa every other month, that'll probably drive up the number of events you could participate in. I think they judged the Branson Z-fest car show here not too long ago. The events calendar on the website would have more details as to what they're up to these days.
