I'm interested in a 240z in Sydney Australia. The car has been sitting for over ten years and will definately need restoring. It has rust in the sill's (not sure on the floors as you couldn't get under it). The interior is intact.

Hard/impossible question to answer based on the information you have given us. Do you have any pics of the car? Where has it been sitting for 10 years, under cover in a garage or out in a yard?

As for the pics I have none available. I will be down there this August so i'm hoping i can get some or the car. The car itself has been sitting in his front yard for over 10 yr's, and every now and then he puts a cover on it. He is locaed over near Blactown/Windsor area and it's under a tree. I have also been told it DOES have rust in the roof and requires alot of work as mentioned before it would need a full restoration as every thing would be ceased from sitting.

I would be reluctant to pay more than $1000 for it based on your description.

$1000 sounds about right. You's spend about 5 to 10 thousand having it restored, so you may as well find the best one you can get.

The floors can rust from the inside out too from under the the tarmat where it has separated from the metal due to age and/or accident damage.

$1k max sounds right. Not sure what level of 'restoration' you are looking for but you could spend $35k on a resto if you wanted to.
