Ebay scammer

Hi all, I just wanted to make all of you genuine guys out there aware of a Canadian scam artist that is lurking on ebay and who knows where else out there.

He goes by the name Bluefairladyz and he has used me and many others to restore his car for free. He purchases items off ebay (in my case a 240z manifold and carb set worth $500.00) and then claims that they were never sent and in the end Paypal refunds his money at your expense, therefore leaving you without the money and the part. I proved to Paypal that I sent them, providing customs and postal documentation but he won the claim and scoffed about it. I then checked out his ebay feedback

(go to www.toolhaus.org and type in Bluefairladyz)

and he has done similar to at least 17 other parts sellers all to fund his restoration.

This post may get kicked off but hopefully some of you will be saved. Contact me on shawthief@yahoo.com.au (named after him) if you need details.

This news is going out on other forums and is being added to by others.

My buddy got scammed by a guy in Canada last year. He was selling some parts on an RX7 forum and sold a $1500 set of coil-overs to a guy in Canada. The guy claimed he never got them and got a refund from PayPal. Lesson is NEVER SELL TO ANYONE IN CANADA. Unless you personally know them of course.

With customs information and everything attached!?

Hopefully you can find others that have had the same problem with this buyer and maybe you can start a class-action style suit.

People like this really bug me, but in the end, everyone gets what they deserve.

please don't paint all canadians with the same brush. just because some people are peckerheads doesn't mean we all are. you are going to get scammers from all nationalities. best way to protect your self is to have buyer insure items, that way seller collects the insuance money if it is lost.also isn't a tracking # for proof of delivery?

zhead240,

I agree the brush looked pretty wide and that lowlifes abound everywhere.

I'm hoping that what er34gtt2000jp meant was beware of out of country sales where verifying shipping can become hard or impossible, not to paint all Canadians as thieves. Things are much simpler if you stay inside the border, once you cross it the hassles increase 10 fold.

My long experience on ebay and in business in general has shown that you either charge the customer for the signature receipt or pay for it yourself, insurance too if it is a high dollar item. I'd much rather spend $5-10 for proof of receipt or insurance than loose $500 or more as happened here.

And seeing that this ebay member in question has around 94% good feedback I would have been cautious from the get go. That's what feedback is for, judging at a distance. My $.02...

Im a Canadian, and I do alot of shopping on Ebay. My feedback is 100%. I'm sure theres scammers everwhere. I got scammed 2 times last year from the U.S. and once from England, so I filed complaints with paypal, etc. In the end I won 2 complaints, but because they were in a different country I could NOT RECOVER any money.

ZED2002 I'd like details of exactly what happened, and how paypal took the guys money back even after you supplied proof of you sending them. That goes against their policy (ive been told that also when I bought overseas- that seller proved he sent item so I get no item and no refund).

If you can provide me any details I'll be glad to refer you to the nearest police agency in the scammers jurisdiction, and I'll even call and find you a contact person in their fraud or major-crime office if you like. Maybe theres been other complaints, or a history with this guy. Police action may not get you any money, but all complaints must be followed up on, so at the very least, contact will be made with him if possibe.

I see from your ebay sale the item was listed in Australia?

Send me a PM if I can help.

Zak

I have dealt with this guy a couple of times with out any trouble. Payment of international money orders only from any one. Solves a lot of problems and as said "if they do not want insurance" I always protect myself buy the insurance. And as always dead beats are not restricted to any one country, city, county, state, or providence.

Thanks Zac I have PMed you. with all my details and credentials, feel free to post them here if it helps.

First of all This is not aimed at all Canadians, my dealings with you guys has been fantastic till now.

As for Paypal well I had about $300.00 in my account and they froze it for over a month while they "investigated" it then awarded $512.00 to him so now my account is in arrears so that is the end of my international dealings.

I will not deal overseas again.

A friend told me about www.paypalsucks.com and that is where I lost hope about ever getting my money back, 5 minutes of reading on that site made sure of that.

So what can I do????

The 17 others that he scammed and I have got together and things are in the pipeline.

Sorry to air this very dirty laundry on here but I didn't want anyone else scammed.

Did you buy seller protection. That is the only way you will win a dispute. I got reemed by a guy or gal in Canada also about a year ago but it was for a gameboy, the guy bought it and wanted it overnight for 100.00 shipping. But he paid then told ebay that he did not get the item or the item was not as described and got his money back after I had used it for bills and stuff. Then my bank account went overdrawn about 200.00, paypal had took it out of my bank:sick: and when I tried to dispute for about 4 months they finally asked me if I got seller protection for the item sold:mad:
