One point in Bluefailladyzs' post was that he too was taken by lie in a description of a "brand new and perfect" dash by URGELLIS. Again, URGELLIS proves his choice of dishonesty.

In urgelis' defense, I bought an e88 head from him, and he was extremely helpful, and stayed in contact with me all throughout the sale. He even went and sourced another head for me. He helped me throughout, and I'd recommend buying from him myself.

Yeah I did business with urgelis before also, not as helpful as he was for you. Got the head and the cam had fallen out and ruined the cam towers and he had different size or totally differnt lash pads, the coolant passages were ruined because someone forgot to reopen them after adding more aluminum to shave it. Not to mention the valves were cut down 1/16th of an inch on the top and the springs were too high and binding and the valves did not seal:sick: And the head was shaved too much for factory spec! Hes a great seller!

hmmm, I can see what you are saying about urgelis. My head did come with shimmed cam towers, but everything looked great. I bolted it on, and the car runs like new with the new head, now I just have to rebuild my lower end, since my fourth cylinder has a bad oil control ring.

See pics of the head here: Image010.jpg

I'll keep my eyes open though.

looks like they did a patch job on you. I know when I talked to Al (urgelis), he said that his friend owned the machine shop, and he did all of the selling work, and his friend did the machine work. Did you talk to him, by chance? I was thinking of getting another head for a friend's engine through him, but now I may not. Good luck selling the head, hopefully someone finds a use for it.

The historical problem with UR-Gellis is not that he has good parts-frequently he does, the problem is that he is not consistant with his business practices. Sometomes he misrepresents part condition or fitment. He has enough experience to know the difference between NOS, and non-nos parts. He knows enough to know what came standard on a specific year model S30 and what didn't. He knows what he would put on his own show car and what he wouldn't; and he knows how to tell the truth. The problem is occasionally he forgets some and/or all of that knowledge.

I had an issue with an ebay purchase from him that was frought with questionable circumstance and minimal contact from him. When I am allowed to "buy it now", I expect for it to come to me, not evidently be re-listed almost immediately and sold at a higher "buy it now" price after being told there was a shipping delay followed a week later by an email stating the part had been broken in the packing process-here is the thread:

http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16183&highlight=bad+ebay+sellers

The pertinant part starts with post #6, Draw your own conclusions...

When I have made a mistake on one of my auctions, I stepped up, took complete responsibility, and made the situation right for the buyer-even when it was painful to do-I wrote the ad and I am a man of my word. If an ebay auction is legally binding for the buyer, it is also legally binding for the seller.
